A producer working in the space between a song and its silence.

Michael Olson — known as City of Dreams — is a producer and engineer who moves between R&B and house, bringing the same ear to both. He came up on the Minneapolis sound, and you can hear it in how he builds a record: warm low end, vocals close, space left where most would fill it. A studio man first — patient, precise, more about feel than flash — he makes music that’s unhurried and built to last, meant to still sound right long after the moment it was made for.
